Rihanna x Gelredome x The Netherlands The last couple of days been amazing. I got the chance to meet one of the most talented people ever. So my friend Jasmine, she knows some of Rihanna's dancers and asked if I could pick them up from the Hilton hotel in Antwerp City. Day 1. We ended up partyin in Brussels at this Lounge called Urban Cafe where my close friend Dj Psar throws this concept called 'BLOW'. This place was packed. No joke. Goodtimes though.
On friday Rihanna started her tour in Belgium Antwerp City. Concert was amazing. Different. Which was good. She was suppose to go to this place called Petrol after the concert. We advised her not to go there since it's a wack location. We told Bryan & the manager they should head out 2 this club called La Rocca. They were down. Made sure everything was set up as soon as we got there. It was good to see everybody havin a good time. Rihanna, the most down 2 earth girl ever. I was surprised. I heart her.

I was impressed by Diggy's flow. The kid got skills....but where did that voice come from? I was definitley impressed. I like the original track "Made You Look" by Nas, but Diggy definitely didn't disappoint. Rev Run has definitely got to be proud of this.
The homiez Bassjackers just released their new video ft Bizzey. Next to their own tracks, Bassjackers are known for their infamous remixes. They have remixed artists like Ron Carrol, Ian Carey and Sidney Samson and remixed for labels like 4Kenzo, Spinnin and Kingdom Kome Cuts to name a few. Their remixes for Gregor Salto, Giorgio Giordano and Real el Canario all ended up the 1 spot on dancetunes. Probs to the homiez! These kids doin it BIG!

Interview with Bassjackers I recently did for the Senza magazine.
Vertel eens in het kort wat over jullie zelf, hoe zijn jullie bij elkaar gekomen etc. Marlon: Wij zijn Bassjackers aka Marlon Flohr en Ralph van Hilst. We zijn al bevriend vanaf de middelbare school. Ralph was altijd al bezig met experimenteren met muziek op de computer. Ik was voornamelijk bezig met uitgaan maar had altijd al een grote liefde voor muziek en was geïnteresseerd in het vak DJ. Op een dag heb ik apparatuur aangeschaft en ben gaan oefenen. Toen heb ik Ralph gevraagd of hij met mij tracks wilde gaan maken die ik dan kon draaien. That’s how it all started :)
Nog de beste wensen! Wat zijn jullie voornemens voor 2010? Thanks, jij ook de beste wensen ;) Goede voornemens, zoveel mogelijk de studio in en heel veel harde tracks eruit pompen!
Hebben jullie een herkenbare signature in je werk? Onze tracks zijn voornamelijk clubknallers, de Bassjackers sound is wel te herkennen aan stevige beats met aparte flows. Onze sets zijn daarom ook wat meer peaktime gericht met veel climaxen. (handjes in de lucht momenten)
Is er een droom artiest waarmee jullie graag samen willen werken? Teveel om op te noemen eigenlijk! We hebben een brede muzieksmaak en zouden wel samenwerkingen aan willen gaan met artiesten uit verschillende genres. Om er toch een paar te noemen; Timbaland, Muse, Black eyed peas.
Wat was er precies aan de hand met de zomerhit van 2009 'Rap das Armas' van Quintino? Om een lang verhaal kort te maken. Quinten kwam een jaar voor de hele hype met de vocalen naar ons toe om er een track mee te maken. Wij hadden nog een beat liggen die er wel bij paste en zo is de track ontstaan. We vonden destijds dat het niet bij onze sound paste en hebben besloten dat Quinten de track onder zijn naam mocht uitbrengen. Dit natuurlijk tegen een bescheiden vergoeding ;)
Jullie hebben pasgeleden een clip opgenomen met Bizzey. Kunnen jullie daar al wat meer over vertellen? Klopt! We zijn zelfs nog met de opnames bezig en hopen dat het in februari te zien zal zijn. Het is een track met een wat andere sound dan mensen missschien van ons gewend zijn. Een beetje meer mainstream. Het is een soort crossover tussen house en disco met een bassjackers twist. De track heet Stronger en gaat over liefde/vreemdgaan.
Wat was jullie grootste prestatie, succes afgelopen jaar? Mmmm…moeilijke vraag, We vinden het al erg vet dat onze tracks opgepikt worden door grote dj’s wereldwijd. Variërend van Crookers tot Tiësto maar als we een specifieke prestatie moeten noemen dan gaan we toch voor de 3 behaalde nummer 1 posities in de dance tunes charts met onze remixen :)
What's next? 3 nummer 1 posities in de top 40? :P
27 februari staan jullie hier in de Senzaplaza, kunnen jullie aan onze lezers vertellen waarom ze hier zeker bij moeten zijn? Eèn van de dopeste concepten van nederland met een keiharde line-up! dat zegt wel genoeg ;)

Recently been to Ne-yo's concert in Brussels. JD's friends, Cliff and John (Ne-yo's dancers) hooked us up with tickets. Unfortunate we arrived pretty late, so we missed Ryan Leslie's preshow, however I still enjoyed the rest of Ne-yo's concert. One word: Goosebumps. After the concert we went to the afterparty in Antwerp. Ne-yo and Ryan Leslie both showed up. Goodtimes.
Brussels, the capital of Belgium. My sister lives here. She ownes a thai restaurant called K-Touch. If you never heard of it, you really have to check it out! Definitely worth a visit. It's close by 'la bourse' where all the asian restaurants are. Believe me...it's the best Thai restaurant in town! While your at it, don't forget to visit 'manneke pis' aka the peeing boy! Where Brussels is known for.
I just got back from Italy. As soon as we landed in Pisa we rented a car and drove up to Milan. A long 4-hour drive w/ hour pimpin rental. Arriving in Milan, we walked straight up to the famous Duomo. This church is centered in the heart of Milan in the Piazza Duomo and is actually the world's biggest Gothic cathedral. Duomo is a generic Italian term for "cathedral church", it seems like just about every city or town in Italy has it's own duomo.
Pisa is a beautiful city with a big shopping street and the Arno flowing through it. There was a market that we went to full of artists showing their goods. It had a lot of crafty things like signs, jewelry, leather, and artwork just to name a few. Walking farther into the city we finally reached the leaning tower of Pisa and I have to tell you, it sure is leaning! Climbing to the top of the leaning tower of Pisa is a unique experience and it offers an amazing view of the town. Tickets were 15 euro's. The view was definitely worth the money.
We took the cliché photos as if we were holding the tower up. We also walked around the lawn to the Duomo which is very pretty. I loved this Duomo with its many paintings lining the walls and the sculptures. It was beautiful.
